Responsibilities:

Deliver value improvements to Lubricants, B2B, Chemicals and Retail by developing and implementing Local Contracting & Procurement strategies utilizing Price, Demand Management, Specification and Contract Management principles, and implementing the regional component of global strategies.

Support Global Category Managers in implementing relevant Global Category Strategy within China, HK and Macau and maintaining CoB (class of business) alignments.

Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the market for the engineering and construction categories in various key markets.

Manage Global, Regional and Local supplier relationships and negotiations including resolution of operational and supplier performance issues relating to the contracts.

Provide a strong commercial influence in the thinking and behavior of the users of materials and/or services. Especially driving review of specifications and demand management.

Manage Business interface on a day-to-day basis with senior local stakeholders and ensure all needs are met.

Working with the Contract Owners and Holders ensure effective Contract Management and expected value is obtained during the contract term.

Move class of business away from ad-hoc/yearly/invoice only/site specific procurement to structured long term contracts spanning all CoBs for improved governance, cost position and workload management.

Rationalize contracts and suppliers across China, Hong Kong & Macau and across CoBs to leverage full procurement potential of Shell.

Develop strategic suppliers who can support Shell in our business growth aspirations.

Align with other local project manager to regularly review the business spend and strategically develop China Category focus long term plan.

Requirements:

Chemicals degree desirable.

Prove track record of execution excellence and delivering results.

Strong Stakeholder Management skills.

Significant commercial experience.

Sound understanding of at least 1 downstream CoB, its business direction and strategy. Knowledge of Lubricants Supply Chain or Chemicals business desirable.

Strong procurement experience, strategy development and execution, negotiations, contract / supplier performance management.

Enthusiastic, self starter and team player.

Fluent English desirable.

Chemistry qualification is an advantage.
